This has been like this for quite a while, Approve vs 'save and exit'. Stage staff can still bring up the approve screen and have the shooter approve. At majors, this has been used before when calling the RM and they can’t get there right away. It is marked as approve, but the RM can still interact with the competitor to address the issue while the stage staff runs the stage. My experience is that things get handled before the squad leaves - could be left as is, an edit, re-shoot, etc - depending on the RM guidance and/or the situation. I tested it before, I -think- I remember it sends out a score log on save an exit also if that option is selected.
