I put the new practiscore 2 on a amazon fire, and the first thing I noticed is that none of the past shooter information is available. had to re-enter everything again. is there a way to import this information? another item is: for steel challenge, version 1.x showed percentages and classes at the end of the shooter session, version2 does not, only shows the time. is there a setting I need to change?
Being a brand new separate app, the PractiScore 2 does not import any previous data automatically. But you can decide what matches you want to bring over the new app (either using wifi sync or export). When matches are imported or synced the locally cached competitor info is updated as well.
You can also make a combined match from your past matches in the 1.x app and use it to bring in all your past competitors.
As an alternative, the “Export registration” option for a given match in the app will give you a csv file, which you can edit or clean up before importing.
The information shown in the Android 1.x app is there by mistake and coincidental because of my work on the Competitor app. It won’t be valid after the next time USPSA makes changes in their classification.
We are waiting for USPSA to make SCSA and USPSA data consumable by the app. Will be able to address this once data is available.
Euxx,
not sure how to make a combined match. if I can accomplish this, then I assume that I use the Wi-Fi sync to another 1.x tablet, then back to the master with the 2.x version? will the 2.x version correctly sync with 1.x?
The sync works between 1.x and 2.x, though you can just use export from 1.x and then import it in 2.x app on the same tablet.
Hopefully this function of displaying the percentages and class can be restored in the future. I hear shooters asking for this information very frequently at the end of their stage in Steel Challenge.
I used the PS2 app this last weekend in a 1 day PRS match. Every stage for every person had their scores preloaded as a miss. Can that be changed to be blank like the PS1 version?
@Rhyde_Thomas
This is per request of Sanctioning bodies and numerous consulting MD’s during the design stage. This way only hits have to be marked.
ok, but it’s easy to loose your place while scoring, your not clicking every shot, like in the past. While the shooter is getting ready you may look at something and then come back and loose track of which shot they are on. By them being blank, you know what the last round was, even if they get out of order. Maybe it’s just a PRS thing?
