You can simply create your own custom match template using either “time plus points” or “points down” match templates as a starting point and configure penalties as per rules of your sport.

We have a new discipline up and running (The BST Challenge) and use practiscore to handle registration and squads assignments.
How do we get our discipline to be an option under “match type”
In the past i have used “points down” and it worked well, but when i import the match registration information the specific divisions and categories i have are not carried across (the ones i added in the custom registration form)
Is there any way one could design a discipline and have it added as a default to the list on practiscore?
The challenge is having a “points down” system combined with a separate “points awarded” system for specific categories in the Overall division.

Please try it now. Make sure to create a new match and DO NOT clone any previously created registrations. If categories and divisions are not transferred across. Email details to support@practiscore.com and include the match registration link.
Also note that if you are using an option in the app to import registration into a previously created match then divisions, categories, etc are going to stay as they are declared in that locally created match (and you can edit them in that match or in the custom match template match was created from).
It is possible, however once it is added that’s when the extra work starts. It has to be tracked regularly to verify if the sport is still alive and the match template is up to date with the current sport’s rules. We simply don’t have capacity do do that for all smaller sports.
You are better off with managing and distributing your own custom match template.
