On Android, there’s a menu point under “Import/Export” and the “Import Match” where one can load a match definition file ***.psc.
We use such files to define templates for our match directors in CMA sport. They download the templates from our website to their master device. Works fine on Android.
But I can’t find the corresponding menu option on iOs devices. It’s probably there somewhere… Can anyone give a hint where to find this?
PS: not talking about downloading a match registration.
@Andreas_Pfenninger
You are asking about PS 1.0? You know we have long moved onto the new PractiScore 2 app and are not supporting 1.x apps anymore.
Part of the reason is that in 1.0 they were two completely different apps and did not have the same functionality.
If you must import a match file to 1.0 you would email it in and then open the email. When you download the file you will be able to download it directly to PS in the email. That is only an old iOS function.
Please move over to the new App.
But, if you must.
@djpetrou thanks for your quick answer! Moving over now… I have PS2 now installed (Android for starting) but now I can’t import the match definition at all. I created the match in PS2 and then modified the match_def.json file to have the correct divisions and so on. After compressing it together with the unchanged match_scores.json I try to import it again. But the import function does nothing. I guess the compressed file got somehow corrupted, but I don’t know how/why.
Why are you not modifying the divisions on the tablet?
Or more importantly this all goes away when doing registration on Practiscore. All the large shooting sports do with one exception of IPSC.
Also, now that you are on 2.0 when you have questions or issues with it you should reach out to support@practiscore.com with a detailed email stating your problem with 2.0 included in the subject line
Regards,
@djpetrou We do the registrations on the practiscore website and we can put the correct divisions, classes and categories on the registration form. It works very well and I am quite happy about it. But the penalties when using the points down match type are wrong - they need to be edited. That we can only do on the scoring device, same with defining stages.
Apart from the matches we have two standard tests with 3 stages each that we used to write a template for. People could just import the template on their device and and then copy that match for each new use.
Let me write to the email address and send some more details, like the json I am trying to compress and then import.
Thanks for your support!
