AMG Lab Timers in PractiScore 2 app

Is there going to be a fix by PractiScore, to allow the AMG Labs Timers to be used in 2.0? I would hope that Competitors and Club’s would not have to buy new timers from AMG or others to get a syncable timer to work on 2.0. We will be using original PractiScore until the issue is resolved, I really like 2.0 but we just bought all new timers last year.

@Greg_Tandberg why don’t you tell us exactly what have you tried or what does not work?

I have been using AMG Timers successfully with PS2 since its release. I use in push mode so each shot is pushed to the tablet instantly. Samsung Tab A7 Lite.

@euxx with the Bluetooth on our Fire Tablets or my Samsung phone, when I go to the timer spot in P -2.0, no timers load. If I hit the refresh button nothing happens, if I go into the Bluetooth settings and hard load a Bluetooth device I see the timer code. But the timer will not load, the tablets ask for a PIN or Code (never had to do this on the original Practiscore), nor is there a PIN or Code for the timers), my phone says I must use it through an app. My phone already has the app and it is updated to the latest version. Any help is appreciated.

Not sure what “hard load a Bluetooth device” means.

Have you followed these instructions?

Which “Fire Tablets” and which “Samsung phone” are you referring to? Can you be more specific about your device models?

These are the most common reasons why timers are not being discovered in the apps:

  • Bluetooth is off on device (though the PS2 app reports that)

  • Location services are off in the device system settings

  • The PractiScore 2 app does not have “Location” and “Nearby devices” permissions allowed (see App info / Permissions section in the system settings for the PractiScore app).
This is device specific and can look different on different devices.

  • Your timer is connected to some other app.
This is quite common when people are playing with both PractiScore 1.x and PractiScore 2 app at the same time. If you have the PractiScore 1.x app on these devices, I’d recommend to use “Force stop” from the system menu to make sure it is not running.
If you somehow connected timer to your phone in the system settings (you should NOT). Go there and use “forget device” or “delete” on the linked timer. Whichever your phone has there.

  • Your timer battery is dead.
For the AMG timers. Turn timer off. Then push the M button and turn timer on. It will show you the system menu and the battery voltage at the bottom. If it is close to 3V - you need to change battery.

@euxx I did this on my phone and it worked. I will try this on the Fire Tablets and let you know later this week. Thank you very much!!!
