You can use a standalone QR Code scanner app to register competitors in the PractiScore app on Android device. For example, ZXing Barcode Scanner app or QRky: QR Code Generator & more or other apps that allow to follow the URLs retrieved from scanned QR Codes.
The QR Code just need to encode URL in the following format:
That’s a shame. I really thought there would have been more interest.
We’ve just moved out of the dark ages (pen & paper) over the last 6 months and moved to PractiScore 1 App. Have found over the weekend the ability to add the above fields via QR Code, but wasn’t sure if there was more we could be adding.
We are attempting to streamline check-ins for our weekly Steel Challenge matches, so will be doing what we can with QR’s from here on in.
We have a few technically challenged members, that online registration may be out of reach for, and would find it hard to work their way around the ‘add shooter’ interface. So we thought a check-in system on the night would suit best.
I’m not an admin of our Clubs page on practiscore.com, so Matches can’t be created for those to register with online.
We have a small team who create/clone a template Match on the night, and manually add competitors on a Master device, before syncing to the other Android devices.
If you do see about adding QR/psc: support in 2.x, would it be at all possible to write in the availability for the other ‘add shooter’ details like Region, State, USPSA#, Category, etc please?
