During summer months we will run two Kindles per stage, having each squad alternate Kindles while the idle Kindle cools down in a cooler.
I recently came across a shooter that had scores on both Kindles. One score was incomplete and was likely the result of fat-fingered scoring RO.
During the synch process, the master seemed to prefer the incomplete score over the complete score. I was able to manually update the shooter’s score on the master device but wondering if there is an easier way to reconcile this issue. I tried updating the shooter’s good score, thinking the master would honor the score with the most recent timestamp but this didn’t work.
Ah, figured out my issue. I previously tried to “touch” the shooter’s time on the device with the correct score. This didn’t result in an updated score for the shooter and as such the master Kindle continued to prefer the incomplete score.
I later attempted to re-input shooter’s time and this resulted in an update score which was then honored by the master Kindle.
(By “touch” I mean selecting the time field for his score and then “OK’ing” it. The Kindle appears to recognize nothing has changed and as such no updated score is saved on the device.)
When you make any changes, the app is taking the latest score as the current one, regardless of device it was entered at, or if scores were incomplete.
When you sync data between devices the screen where you accept scores show you number of scores that changed if you pay attention. So, you can review them after the sync.
You can see the history of edits on review screen. Also the number of edits shown next to the shooter names in red boxes.
Additionally you can filter competitor list for incomplete scores or for number of edits. See more details at Search and filtering options in PractiScore apps
