I have refunded and withdrawn several people without issue from an upcoming match. However, the last refund gave me a weird error message. It sounds like some sort of API error message. Can you tell me what this error is complaining about? “We were unable to complete your refund request. This value must be greater than or equal to 1.”

If you don’t have any money in your stripe account (ie. You transferred it all out) then there’s no money to refund.
@D.J.Petrou DJ, I don’t think it has anything to do with the account balance. I can still refund others in the same match without issue, while this one entry continues to fail with the mystery message above. How can I get to the bottom of this?
You are saying that since this refund failed you have refunded others?
I refunded several then hit this error. Since my original post above, I had another withdrawal and before I processed it, I re-tried the refund that failed and it still failed with the same message. Then I refunded the new withdrawal without issue. I then re-tried the failing one again and it failed yet again with the same error.
Since some of them are working I have to say that I expect the message we are sending Stripe is working.
Have you contacted Stripe?
Have you gone into your stripe account and refunded the shooter/transaction directly in Stripe? Before we have the connection to refund via our website a MD had to go into Stripe and refund there. Will that work?
Not yet. I don’t have direct control of our stripe account. Waiting to hear back from our Treasurer and see if he can verify the original charge and then whether he can refund him. Will post back if/when I learn more.
Ok, the Treasurer looked at Stripe and it turns out the refund worked the first time I tried it, even though PS has never shown it as “refunded”. I have tried several times to refund and PS has only ever given me the error message “We were unable to complete your refund request. This value must be greater than or equal to 1.” FWIW, the refund was done as full refund but with shooter paying processing fees. We’ve been doing online payments (and refunds) going on 3 years now and this is the first time I’ve ever seen this message. In any case, I’ll now proceed to withdraw the shooter. We can consider this closed.
