First match with PS2 experiences

we ran our first bigger match on ps2 this weekend, about 200 shooters over 2 days. we use iPad masters and fire tablets for scoring.
my inital observations or issues that i couldn’t figure out,

  1. we miss the alphabet hotkeys on the right to quickly jump to a name, although the search function works well

  2. the check-in buttons are not fat finger friendly

  3. viewing check-ins or squad lists - the old version had the page where you could easily see all squads side by side or check ins in a compact vertical list by squad … this was huge for those people that are asking can i get into squad X with my buddy as they show up 3 mins before bang time

  4. tablet syncing was sketchy at times, ran smoothly at match start but had some issues on match end syncing back … could be our issue but internet was working on the tablets that couldn’t sync at the end so im not sure

  5. stage creation of uspsa classifiers … pulled the stage image but nothing else on one master and pulled everything including the briefing on the other master … no clue why

all in all im sure its a learning curve but the squad lists would be really nice to have back … i did see we could sort by squad but when you need to see bodies in all squads to balance squads that list doesn’t really cut it

could be i just didn’t find some things as it was a trial by fire but … any pointers would be appreciated

@Robert_Dugre thank you for the feedback

You can open squad list report from the shooters screen menu. Though personally I just sort the shooter list by squad and scroll.

Regarding small UI elements. We’ve got complains that information on the screen is not dense… You can increase device’s font size in the system setting. That would make them bigger. Also you can edit checkins on the shooter editing screen.

For the rest (e.g. #5) please email to support@practiscore.com and provide step by step instructions, screenshots and/or other details that would allow us to reproduce issue(s).

The sync issue could be due to your tablets auto-updated app in the middle of the match and not all tablets were on the same app version. Especially when you are using mix of Android and Apple devices. We can’t tell unless you provide additional details. Generally it is a good idea to disable automatic app updates in all app stores.
