After a club match we noticed that shooters were given different scores when viewed in ‘Match Results Combined’ and Match Results by Division’. This resulted in different finishing positions.

Why in some cases (for scoring types that award stage points based on relative competitor’s performance on that stage) the Combined results come in a different order of finish comparing with Division results? In this IPSC/USPSA (Hit Factor scoring) example and the same applies to TimePlus with Points scoring.
The short answer is that stage points are based on the stage winners in the division. When looking at combined scores those winners change so the stage point…

@Ian_Vosper short story - in HF scoring the top stage points are defined by stage winner.
These winners can be different between division and combined scores. Hence the ballance of points between stages is also different.
