Export CSV under View results-Match scores

In 1.x this export existed and could be emailed. I imported this into a google sheet and it had everything I needed to determine awards needed before the match was shot and the who gets what awards after the match was finished.
2.x has a combined report under match scores, however, it’s blank until scores are entered and it doesn’t have categories.

Can you bring this report into 2.x?

@Jeff_Jones not familiar with the report you are referring to. Could you provide any examples.

However there is a “Match breakdown” report available from the shooter list screen. It has details for registered divisions, categories, etc.

Also, if you want to process registration data in Excel or Google Sheets, you can use the “Export Regisytration” option on the “Import / Export” screen.

I needed to export registrations from all of our USPSA matches from 2024. PS1 makes it easy as the file name is Match_Name.csv. I save these to a folder in dropbox that I can access from a PC.
PS2 exports the file name “dca-11ef-af87-737ad848efd3.bin”. I find this naming convention a bit confusing.
I did find that you can rename the .bin to .csv and pull it into excel.
Unless the app will name the files to match the name of the match, I will have to now do that on the fly.

I pull the info to determine who will receive our allotted spots for nationals based on their participation in our USPSA matches for the year.
I export the registrations.
Open the file in Excel.
Add a column for the Match Date.
Copy the data to another spreadsheet, and do this for each match throughout the year.
Then I sort that final spreadsheet to the Lastname and first name, USPSA #, and date.

I can then count each time each person shows in the list and add that number to another column.

Then I’ll filter for the divisions that are included in that match - upcoming is Factory Nationals for Production, Carry Optics, Single Stack and Revolver.
I’ll then copy that info to another sheet.
Then count each time that person is entered to the new sheet to determine their participation in those divisions.
And sort by highest count in that sheet.

We were awarded 2 spots by our section coordinator. So the top entries shows 3 shooters. I contacted all 3 of them to offer the spots to the first 2 that respond… I’ll keep going down the list until I get takers for the spots.

It’s a ton of work this way, but IMO it’s the only fair way to offer it to the participants.

I think Jeff is trying to determine similar.

Some context would help. What exactly are you doing. With full details.

PS: the rest of the details seem to be discussing why and aren’t related the the question/issue. But have you looked at Scoring Tournament, Club League or Match Series ?

I think it’s the “Rangelog Export” that used to be in the ps1 app under “View Results”.
In ps2, there’s no longer an export of results into a .csv file but there is one in .html format.
However, the html can be shared and then opened in excel or libre office calc, edited and then saved as a csv.
Alternatively, one can upload the results to practiscore and then export from the website or do the copy paste of the results view, although that’s error-prone.
Would be nice to have a .csv export in ps2 with unchanged column headers.

@Andreas_Pfenninger the same export option is now available on the PractiScore website, right on the match results page.

I use the info to determine who gets our awarded slots for nationals.

I export each match’s registration to a CSV file.
Add a column for the month.
Copy the data into a main spreadsheet.
and repeat for each month.
Then I sort by last name, first name and member number. Then count each person’s match activity.
My club was awarded 2 slots for Factory Nationals.
I filtered the spreadsheet to only show the divisions for that match. Copied it and put it into another sheet.
Then counted each person’s activity in the divisions for that match.
Sorted by that count.

Then contacted each person in the order.
We had 2 spots, and 5 people with 8 matches each in those divisions.
I contacted them as a group with the first two to accept the spot gets it.

If they all reject it, I move down to the 7-coujnt… then the 6-count and so on till I have two folks taking the spots.

I wish there was an easier way to do it, but so far this is the way that seems to be most-fair.

I didn’t do it like this when we first started the club and offered it over social media. The guy that accepted the spot had just moved and another got upset because he felt he should have gotten the spot.
I came up with this as a solution and if anyone wants to see the results, they can.

@Mark_Compton have you tried Scoring Tournament, Club League or Match Series ?
