Delete some stages from squad tablets

Can you build all stages in the master, sync to the squad tablets and then delete one or more stages from certain tablets and still be able to sync all the stages at the end?

We keep tablets with the squad (locked to the squad) but when we have two stages on a single bay we use a separate static tablet for one of the stages. That one gets locked to one of those stages .

Is it possible to delete the locked/static stage from the squad tablets and still be able to sync everything okay? This to help avoid the wrong tablet being used for the static stage.

If not, is there a option to hide a stage?

@Jason_Bryngelson first of all the Android 1.x app is discontinued.

I’m not quite following. It sounds like you want to delete a stage which is part of the match?

I’m wondering if you can delete some stages from some tablets but keep them all in the match. Example

Master has 6 stages.
Sync to 8 tablets.
Lock tablet 1 to stage 1, stays with stage
Lock tablet 2 to stage 6, stays with stage
Lock tablets 3-8 to individual squads, travels with squads and to be used for stages 2-5 only
Delete stages 1 and 6 from tablets 3-8

Sync all tablets back to master under the same match without issue.

We haven’t switched to 2.x yet but the same question would apply there

Still not following why you want to delete stages that are part of the match.

Locking tablets to a squad does not prevent you from locking same tablet to multiple stages. And you can select to shoot stages sequentially or side by side (tabs).

And you need to switch from 1.x app

We didn’t realize (nor anyone else I had asked locally) that we could lock multiple stages in a single tablet to hide the stages we didn’t want those tablets to “see”.

So this is resolved.

There is also an option to set if you want to shoot stages side by side (usually by the same shooter) or sequentially. See the “bars” icon at the top of squad list screen.

I am not following that last comment of yours.

I lock squads to a tablet already for the squad tablets they carry with them. On those I also lock the main stages. When they get to the 2 stage bay, they just use their tablet for one stage (one of the several now locked stages) and the standalone tablet that is locked to the second stage but not locked to any squad.

The comment was for locking more than on stage on a tablet. We do that when there are multiple stages to shoot at the range or bay.

And when not locking squads…

Keeping tablet with a squad potentially more risky, as you could lose data for entire squad if things go wrong and no extra backups. While a stage tablet would lose only that stage, so you’d still have partial match results.

We do live scoring/score logging so nothing should be fully lost.

Our club matches the squads travel with their tablets. Our major matches stay with the stage/RO crew.
