I’ve navigated to my upcoming match, then “Approve/View Shooters”. I’m attempting to bulk approve shooters that have pre-registered using the “Approve All” option. When clicking button, browser is redirected to the club search web page (https://practiscore.com/search/clubs) and shooters are never approved.
Can you give us more information about the existing match? Maybe a direct link? Is it a cloned match?
Just trying to understand this as I ran into the same issue. I cloned a match, and now if I go to approve all I get redirected to the club search page. Are you saying there is no way to “approve all” if you cloned the match?
I really dont want to have to retype my approval emails, recreate the form with the custom boxes, etc. And approving over 100 shooters one at a time will also be time consuming.
Is it something with the form or schedule/squads that causes this to happen?
Thanks for the quick reply, DJ. Yes, I did read that thread but do not understand which cloning component causes it, and if it’s just not possible to approve all in a cloned match.
Is it related to the cloned form, cloned schedule/squads or just completely unsupported.
The cloned match is not far in advance (it was actually set up to test the approve all feature), and the original match has not yet occurred.
In that thread, you mention that:
We have found that web site changes on old cloned/created matches can create problems with registration and posting of scores as web site updates are made
This is what I am trying to understand - what web site changes affect the approval process, can I avoid that by cloning some components but not all, or should I just give up and ignore the clone feature completely.
I export registration and pre-registration csv files to create reports for my club so recreating the registration with the custom fields we have can cause problems with that if the field names are not always entered the same.
Thanks again…
@James_Heitz
I never clone. I always create from scratch.
90+% of all issues are from cloning. Sometimes its a code issue sometimes it’s someone not changing all the times/dates/etc that need to be changed.
The gods truth is that we do not have the hours and hours or days and days to allocate manpower to forensically analyze each and every situation that could cause problems. So I cannot tell you exactly in your situation what is acting up.
Cloning was originally added for clubs who had a simple monthly match every month. Not a high level created match with all sort of options.
Create a new match and your approve all button will work.
Personally, I will give up the 71 seconds of my life every time I create a new match to not have issues.
OK guess we have to create a new match each month. Can’t see how it will take only 71 extra seconds, since now for every match I have to add the affiliation, match description, payment type, squadding requirements, rewrite the registration email, 3 approval emails, create 4 new custom fields in the registration form, then create a schedule, 7 squads, and add reserved spots for each. All of the above will be exact copies of the previous months match. When I clone it, I only need to change the name and dates.
