At our local PRS matches we are running two rifle divisions. One of the divisions has a point bonus for shooting a lightweight rifle. The point bonus is determined at check in when the competitors rifle is weighed.
What would be the best way to add the bonus to the match score? Can I just add the scores on the master, then sync each individual squad tablet, and score the match? Or have the point bonus as stage and have each squad log each shooter’s bonus? I would rather not do the latter if possible. I’m new to Practiscore and am trying to think this through. Thanks!

What match type are you using? Is this a sanctioned match?
How exactly are you wanting to “bonus” the light gun shooters?
One extra target hit per stage? a percentage points bonus?
Precision rifle is scored with just a number of targets hit so that’s basically what you are working with.

It’s not a sanctioned club match. The match is scored just like every other “PRS” match 1pt per impact. But we run two rifle divisions, an open and practical rifle. Shooters select which division they are shooting in at registration.
The open division is a standard run of the mill open division, the practical division has a 16lb weight limit and no muzzle brakes. The practical division rifles are weighed at check in.
To incentivize shooters to shoot lighter rifles, we have a point bonus that is determined off the rifle’s weight at check in. The bonus is 1pt for every 2lbs under the 16lb limit e.i…… rifles under 14lbs is 1pt, under 12lbs = 2pts, and sub 10lbs is 3pts.
I’m trying to figure out the best way to add the point bonus to the match total. Would this be writing down the point bonus then just adding them myself to the master after check in is done and the match is rolling? Or scoring the bonus on a separate tablet then syncing everything at the end of the match?
I’m fairly new to Practiscore. The first match we scored with the tablets was last months and it went smooth. But we didn’t implement the two rifle divisions or the point bonus for the practical division.
@Seth_Burrows
If it’s a one time bonus point/s per stage then I’d probably created an extra stage called bonus. Put in the max number of targets you would give a bonus. 3 per your description. Then at check in score them in the bonus stage with the number of targets/points they deserve.
The match results might look a little funky but overall and division results should be fine. (one pitfall might be that some shooters have no scores on that “stage”)
I suggest you create a test match in a tablet and score it the look at the results in the tablet to see if it’s working. Spending and hour or so testing will stop any catastrophes from happening in a live match.

So that sounds like how I have set up now. I’ve got a stage called Practical Division Bonus, with 3pts possible and was going to score it as a stage.
Scored the points as needed in the Stage. The Open class shooters would have a 0 or DNF. The Practical division shooters would have their bonus scored. So, It would viewable in the match results.
I just didn’t know if there was a better way to do it. Or if I scored the bonus stage, then synced all the tablets back to the master at the end of the match, if that would mess anything up that way, with having to sync scores for a single shooter from multiple tablets.
I don’t see any other way to do it based on the way precision rifle is scored.
Whichever tablet you use to record bonus scores will get sync’d to the master scoring tablet in the end anyhow. It doesn’t affect the shooting and the scoring on stages. Its really just treated as a stage in the end.
