Adding Documents

I am using Amazon Fire tablets with PractiScore 2, but the add document feature seems to have disappeared in the last month. It worked well last month, but I cannot seem to find it now. The application is the latest from the Amazon store.

Adding a document to the stages is still working well, it is just the non-stage documents. The documents are stored on the tablet in PDF format. There is NO option in the “Import / Export” menu. I tried to add them via “Change – ‘3-dot menu’ – Documents”, but it is looking for a URL and there is no option to pull from local storage.

Please advise soon as we have a match on Sunday and I need to have the match prepared and give the tablets to another club member because I cannot make the match.

Thanks in advance.

Disappeared from where?

We never had an option in the apps to use a local file for the match documents. You can add match document on the PractiScore match registration website when you edit your match registration form. These documents get transferred to the tablet when you import your match with a pin#.

When editing documents on the tablet you can link document hosted somewhere using a public link, e.g from a Google drive (use share link option there). The app will load document from provided link.

Thank you euxx for the quick reply. Hopefully PractiScore could add a local storage option in the future. I must have had the documents cloned from another match in the past. Unfortunately, those documents are now out of date.

For anyone else’s benefit, I tried:

  1. add the documents to the PractiScore match registration website and sync it to the tablet with the PIN #.

CORRECTION - this does not work. I tried a new match from the PractiScore match registration website and the documents did not transfer into the tablet.

  2. publish the documents on a public website and type the URL in manually via "‘Change’ – ‘3-dot menu’ – ‘Documents’”

Option 2 is the only one that worked.
