Can you please add a dialog or popup that says Successful, Completed, Finished something on the following actions?
Syncing tablets
Uploading to PS Website
And any other place that relies on a wireless connection to push/pull data from one location to another?
Nothing worse than syncing tablets only to find out there was an error that wasn’t reported and you have to go back and do it again. A simple dialog would be nice. Many times depending on the connection speed and what connection you are using, when you hit post to PS the little animated icon starts to spin, then goes away yet nothing was completed or done. You have to wait a short while to then go validate everything on the website to make sure everything was done.
It would save time and anxiety when you are trying to tear down stages and wrap up a match to have a little feedback that something was done.
I’m not aware of tablet’s sync not reporting errors. On a contrary - the error is shown on the sync screen.
When animation indicator is gone - everything is done. However you still have to wait short while because the web site doesn’t show things instantaneously. Having a dialog popup isn’t going to help you with that.
You need to learn to trust what app shows you. And it does show upload error when things go wrong. If I’m not mistaken, you can reproduce that by disconnecting your tablet or even a wifi router from the Internet.
Well I have had them not sync with new tablets that we purchased and there was no error reported. Adding the dialog makes sense so you know you can go to the next one. I have been in the software business for years and I know for a fact that if we didn’t have this type of dialog for this type of action then it would be the first thing our customers ask for. It really isn’t that much to ask. Some times the sync is fast, sometimes the sync is slow.
In the last decade or so, all the apps I know ditched any popup dialogs after any successful actions and replaced them with non-blocking progress indicators (which you do see). These “OK” popups don’t add anything useful to the user experience.
For example, have you got an OK popup after posting your reply here? Was it too frustrating?
