Issue after importing registration from CSV into PCSL 2-Gun match

Recently I was managing PCSL match in PractiScore for the first time. I import registrations via CSV file (used export to PractiScore option on WWW site).

After stages were created and shooters imported everything seemed to work fine until I tried to do the actual scoring - after time and hits were entered hit factor was not calculated.

I quickly created new match and imported registration via PIN - it worked as it should. After match I’ve tried to find the cause - it seems that there is an issue when you import CSV where Power Factor is null. I think its defaulting to MAJOR (as it is for IPSC matches) which is not valid for PCSL. After I set up this field to Minor manually in CSV issue was gone.

It’s hard to spot and fix in the app as for PCSL match PF is not an option on shooter edit screen.

Not a big deal as workaround is to simply update PF to Minor in CSV but wanted to let you and others to know.

Numerous issues can arise when trying to import via csv.

If you are using registration on Practiscore website and then importing registration with the PIN. Everything will work correctly. The PIN creation was how the system was designed. CSV importation was added later and has numerous failure opportunities…

@Maciej_Czapski if you are doing registration on the PractiScore website there, there shouldn’t be needed to use CSV for registration import into the scoring app.

Anyhow, in order to investigate any issues we’ll need the CSV file, as well as the match export file *.psc you are loading these registrations to (the original one before importing any registration CSV or loading them using pin#). You can email these at support@practiscore.com
